Holiday Baking Party

Welcome to the Holiday Baking Party.

As your hostesses, we are thrilled you have joined us and we can’t wait to see what all you guys/gals are “cooking” up.

~~~~~~~~Amy,  Holly (me)  and  Marty ~~~~~~~~
I am going to share a recipe that I love making every fall. I blame this recipe for the 30 pounds I have gained since I got married. They are so yummy!
(from my mom’s kitchen)
1 Cup Canola Oil
2 Cups White Sugar
4 Eggs
2 Cups Pumpkin (or 1 small can works)
2 Tsp Cinnamon
2 Cups Flour
1/2 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Baking Soda
2 Tsp Baking Powder
Mix. Bake in a cookie sheet for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
Let Cool.
Cream Cheese Frosting
6 oz. cream cheese
1 Tsp Almond Extract
1/2 Cup of Butter (softened – not melted)
2 Cups of Powdered Sugar
1 Tbsp of Cream or Milk
1 Tsp Vanilla
This is one of those recipes that is so easy to alter with healthier ingredients.  I use it for muffins and add wheat germ and nuts or chocolate chips, too.
Please share your favorite recipe with us.
(I am linking our recipes up with Funky Junk Interiors)
