After moving all of our furniture around several times in our home I think we’ve got this room how we like it.
This room is right off of our kitchen. On the floor plan it’s called the breakfast nook. The light fixture I chose was to go over a dining table and did for a little while which you can view (HERE). Since we don’t need two eating areas and since we have a dining room already (HERE) we really wanted a small area to watch TV other than the main family room.
So we set up our large sectional and a television. This room gets great morning sun and we like to enjoy our coffee here.
There isn’t much room for a coffee table so I put a TV tray and small plant stands around so drinks have a safe place to sit.
The french doors to our backyard patio are in here too. I painted them in Urbane Bronze by Sherwin Williams. After I got the doors done I thought the molding around the doors would look good painted too. Although the molding in the whole house is white, I think exit doors can handle a little different color to make them stand out. It made a world of difference to me.
My hubby doesn’t like the wall paper in here and, quite frankly, I think it looks a bit “kitchen-ee” too. One day we would like to put a built in bar where the console is with the TV mounted above it.
My kitchen storage on the side cabinet there has been super fun to play with. I even cleaned all of my copper yesterday. It’s so shiny so I had to put it in a more visible spot than above the stove (see our kitchen HERE).
Maya and I thank you for joining us today on the introduction of our morning room.
On a side note: I switched my blog to a new hosting site last March and my email subscribers have not been getting updates since. I tried adding a widget from my old blog to see if those readers get notified now. I hope it works!!!
If not, and you want to receive updates when new posts are published head over to my sidebar and enter your email address.
I have a few changes in the dining room and our new music room to share very soon so keep an eye out for that.
Have a fabulous week my friends!
Thanks for being here.
