Indoor Wood Pallet Flower Box

A couple of weeks ago I cut down an old wood pallet for my little boy’s room.
I made two bookshelves out of it but only used one.
I found a space for the other….

Our ceilings are 9ft. tall so I like to compliment them by decorating that unused space
above doors and windows.

Wood Pallets are cool but I do not want to take them apart.
For this project I didn’t have to.  I just ran that thing through my table saw.
Added a bottom…Easy!
The greens are not real because they are too high for me to reach for watering.

My local lumber yard was happy to give the wood pallets away.

I am a pallet hound and this is FAB! I love how it is just the perfect width above the door frame! I would love for you to come link up at my party going on now through Sunday night!

Love it girl! My Brother in law owns a pallet company! I'm gonna have to ride over there and grab a few!!

Holly, that shelf looks great. What color of stain did you use?

Hi Holly~ Another great design project from you! I've got high ceilings too with nothing above my doorways. Love the pallet idea … gonna show this to my hubby (he likes artistic projects as opposed to clean out the shed type projects). Never thought to ask the lumber yard for pallets. Love that photo of your children in the hallway, by the way!

Very cute! I often decorate above my doorways too. It just seems to work with high ceilings. That was a clever idea using a pallet like that. I'll have to keep my eyes open for one. It seems like there are alot of good projects that can be done with them.

Love that rustic look. It really adds a great focal point to that area. Nice job.

We have 9 ft. ceilings in our home too. I find it challenging too. This is a great idea, you can swap out those greens for seasonal flowers.

That is so creative! It looks great!♥Linsey
