Happy Summer 2014!

Hey all! I have missed you in my short break! I took my blog status to private for a week or so to clean up some past posts and to re-think my purpose of blogging. Writing posts about home projects is way fun for me but through the few years of keeping up my site, I was beginning to feel an obligation to feature and write about what ever I was doing, even if I had to ignore my kids for an evening to do so (Mom guilt).

My boys are growing up fast and I know this time in my life is so precious and short. I have decided to take a little step back from my blog and give more time to my family.

I’ve had several requests from readers to still be able to read past posts so I decided to keep it up and public but just post when it is convenient.

I get panic-ee about my kids growing up and fear looking back and think that I didn’t absorb every moment of their childhood. My husband works hard to support our family and gives me the opportunity to be a full time mom…I’d be so crazy to take that for granted.

I hope you will all still visit here and there and I will keep in touch. We have plans this summer….another new baby cousin coming and plenty to celebrate. I balance home projects and blogging much better when the kids go back to school.

I hope you all enjoy your own summer with friends and family.

Enjoy every minute!

  8. Enjoying your family has to be a priority. We have no children but my hubby works long hours and has a killer commute. Our weekends are very precious to us. Our pups and our new home are our priorities right now as well as finding some moment of time together which is not easy when living with people.Cynthia

  16. Thanks so much for bringing your blog back, I got the twitchies when I couldn't click through my pins to your site :-)Seriously – life is way too short to waste it – enjoy those kiddos, it does go by way too fast (from the mom of a 21 year old who doesn't need her much anymore, sniff, sniff). 17. You have a fantastic blog, Holly. But you also have a fantastic family! Take a breather and focus on your kiddos! Us here in blog land will be fine. I promise! 🙂

  18. Good for you girl!! My kids are grown and off on new adventures for themselves. I can tell you time goes so fast, it seems like just last week I was going to PTA meetings, loads of laundry and keeping the pantry filled for ALL the kids coming through the house. Now it's just me and Mr. P… and it's a new adventure for us too! I miss those days though and I might do things differently now, but I was so blessed to be able to stay home and raise those kids myself and spend my time with them, and so are you and your boys!! Enjoy them now… jobs, cars, girls, college and then marriage, not to mention Grandkids… will soon be here! I hope you make wonderful memories this summer with your family and come back refreshed and creative in the fall!Hugs,Pendra
