I dressed up this area with twigs, battery operated twig lights and greenery around the large candle trio.
faux lavendar
lanterns and a rustic homemade wooden box filled with pine cones
battery operated twig lights look like twinkling stars on a clear summer night
an over sized vintage window covers the “black hole”
a trio of three wick candles gives the essence of a real fire burning – without the heat
summer ambiance indoors when it is too hot outside – created with natural and artificial elements – air conditioning is a wonderful thing, especially when I can sit by this pretty view and read a book and stay nice and cool – cozy -even!
(sounds like a nice life – I am actually too busy for that – just sounds good)
you can view this mantel area for Spring HERE and Winter HERE

That looks so pretty just love it! I don't have air conditioning but in Oregon it does cool off in the evening 🙂
This is so gorgeous. Love this.Kris
It looks beautiful! The battery operated candles are so much safer too!
You have such a talented gift that you share with each of us beautifully. I am honored to be a part of you site, and invite you to visit me. I look forward to the future postings from you.
Perfect…hope you find time to enjoy it!! What happened to \”lazy summer\” days? Not so much 🙂
What a great idea with the lighted twigs. Now I'm sad mine are packed away with the Christmas stuff.
This is simply beautiful. I have to get some of those battery operated candles, what a great idea for the warm months. I'm catching up on your blog, hope you're having fun with the boys :)Leslie (Gwen Moss)
love the look. The twigs and candles are perfect and the window is genius. Love that. Hugs, Marty
I love it. It looks like a wonderful, fun \”fix\” for the summer months. Great idea- xo Diana

This looks so inviting. I especially like the idea of the old window over the black hole.
I think this is beautiful!
This is so pretty Holly! I love that you put a big window in front …. I may try that! I tend to decorate 'inside' my fireplace for summer but I like your idea for a change! Thanks!!~~Angela
This so great, I love the old window being used. So pretty!Cynthia

Still so ding dang cold here that lighting candles and a fire feels like the thing to do.Bliss
This is such a beautiful idea. It makes me wish I had a fireplace!
Holly, as always it looks amazing…Love those greens…They look like IKEA greenery I have as well……have to PIN these
Very pretty, Holly!
Those twinkle lights add so much! You know I won't be using my fireplace this weekend. Saturday's forecast is 112. Yep, you read that right. So I'm totally into your no heat fireplace. xoxo jules
I love how candlelight looks any time of year, but love it as a substitute for a roaring fire in the summer time! Great idea!
I would rather sit in front of this then the TV most nights… so beautiful! The twig lights add so much and as always you take it over the top to perfect! Only wish I had a fireplace…doesn't mean I can't make a faux one…right????Hugs,Pendra
